Agency: Russia to resume regular flights to Turkey from Fri
MOSCOW, Jul 22 (PRIME) -- Russia will resume regular flights to Turkey from Friday lifting a ban imposed recently due to political events in the country, the Federal Air Transport Agency said in a statement.
“Regular air travel is resumed for all airlines departing from Russia to Turkey…from July 22, 2016 after receiving an assurance from the Turkish side on immediately implemented measures to increase safety of Russian citizens in airports and on the territory of…Turkey,” the authority said.
Russian flagship air carrier Aeroflot will launch sales of tickets to Istanbul and Antalya from Friday, the company said. Flights will be resumed in accordance with its existing summer schedule, it said.
